I'm assuming it'due south the same equally the Optimas. You can become into the Bluetooth options on the primary screen and select from a few dissimilar ring tones that are preloaded into the auto.

As far every bit I know those are the merely ones available.

Try going to:

All menus>
Setup>
Bluetooth>
Ringtone: select "mobile ringtone"

And I was incorrect. At that place is an choice to select mobile ringtone.

Kia is has pretty standardized infotainment systems. I incertitude they made huge differences between 2017 & 2018.

I recollect the ringtone is tied in with Android Machine and I don't see anywhere in my phone's Android Motorcar settings to change information technology unfortunately.
Nope. Android auto does non control the ring. The caput unit of measurement does. If at that place is no setting to change information technology in the car you are stuck with what it is. Maybe Kia will take a software update and add some more choices.

Here, give this a attempt.
If it's different I guess Kia shocked me and made infotainment changes between years.

Does anyone know how to change the horrible ringtone that the UVO caput unit uses? I have an Android telephone paired to the unit. When a phone call comes in the ringtone drives me basics - it doesn't utilise the telephone ringtone like my Optima did. I can't find the setting in Bluetooth or UVO to change information technology.

Someone please help...I hate the default sound.

Thanks

Samsung S7 in my Stinger, what a goofy default in-auto ring tone. Does anyone know if and how to alter this? I've searched my telephone, UVO app and auto systems without luck.

I'grand in same gunkhole. Android Auto. Galaxy s9. ringtone in Stinger GT1 is horrible harpsichord/midi thing. Need to detect pick to utilize phone ringtone. Or for God's sake but ring similar a normal telephone????

Hey all, later on posting I constitute out this is Not a Stinger/Kia trouble. It is Android Auto. The ringtone nosotros all hear IS the Stinger default ringtone but it simply uses that because when you lot install Android Motorcar on your phone that app disables the "phone ringtone sync" Bluetooth characteristic on your phone. If you lot have AA installed get to your phone Bluetooth settings and try to enable phone ringtone sync. When I try I get a message that says "uninstall AA and try again".

So although I would nonetheless appreciate a normal default Stinger ringtone, looks like we need to send our detest mail to Google's AA team

OK this is bugging me as that orchestral audio is crap
Anyone figure this out ??

This appears to depend on the phone, as I've got a Pixel one XL and it uses the telephone ringtone (stock Android). No option to disable it and use the machine one either. Yous could endeavor asking on some telephone forums if there's a way to enable that Samsung UI option (you'd probably demand root though if in that location was a way).

Bothor, so are you using Android Car plugged in via USB with your Pixel or are you using information technology wireless through Bluetooth? When I just connect via Bluetooth with my Galaxy S9 the ringtone passes through but plugged in it doesn't. And of form to use AA on the screen in the Stinger it needs to be plugged in.

Thanks. So that's a good information indicate. Now we know the telephone has something to do with it. Y'all are the start I've heard where AA via USB in the Stinger allows the phone ringtone to laissez passer through.

Probably does have to do with stock Android. Could be a touchwiz effect on Samsungs

When using Android motorcar there is a notifications audio channel which it uses, I don't know if you've noticed only it plays things like navigation directions from gmaps but through the centre speaker. And so it will be the phones option whether to play the ringtone through the notification aqueduct or instead tell the machine to play information technology's tone.

I'll double check later I'm non talking crap about my ringtone playing just I'1000 sure I've heard it play and definitely never heard this annoying Kia ringtone people are talking almost.

Edit: definitely plays the ringtone, in fact it plays it through both the speakers and the phone itself giving a nice echo effect.

Something else people should bank check regarding the actual ringtone sound. I remember when I had my navigation maps SD carte du jour plugged into my computer to update the maps, there are audio files on in that location for all the various warning sounds etc. (Like for upcoming speed photographic camera). Check if the ringtone is on there and if so, replace with one of your choosing, just make sure to match the file type and bitrate to be sure of compatibility.

Edit: I only looked at the backup of the SD card I took before updating, all the sound files are just notification sounds, no ringtone, then this was wrong.
